There’s nothing more beautiful than a child armed with the Word of God.
The faith of a child is precious, and there is something so pure about one who has placed their hope in Jesus at such a young age.
And on national “Bring Your Bible to School Day,” more than 500,000 children from all around the country entered their school halls armed with their Bibles – and just wait until you hear the incredible ways they shared their faith.
The annual event is sponsored by Focus on the Family and encourages young Christians from both private and public schools to share their faith and speak God’s truth.
While it may be common to see Bibles in private schools – the public school system has waged a full-out war on Christianity.
From banning prayer, to even suspending a little 7-year-old girl for wearing a mask that said “Jesus Loves Me” – it’s clear students are discouraged from sharing their faith.
But instead of teaching children to cower in fear because of their faith – this event empowers them to share the hope that they have in Christ with others.
It’s heartwarming to hear stories of children who participated in the event – who not only had the chance to share the Gospel with their classmates – but had their own faith strengthened too.
Focus on the Family listed a host of testimonies on their website on how the event inspired children all across America.
“It’s important to spread the Gospel to the whole world, like Jesus commanded, and bringing my Bible to school is such an easy way to do just that”. Joshua, 17, TX
“I chose to participate because I wanted to tell my friends about Jesus. Bringing my Bible to school did raise a lot of questions about my faith and what being a Christian really means.” Eliana, 13, VA

Of course, children should be encouraged to share their faith the rest of the year too – but this day gives them extra courage to talk openly about their faith, knowing they are standing in solidarity with other children all around the country.
And what an inspiration this event should be to us adults!
Ask yourself, when was the last time you brought your Bible to work or shared your faith with a coworker?
We are all commanded to be ready to give an answer for the faith that we have – but are we really prepared?
One of the most beautiful parts about becoming a Christian is sharing the story of redemption – how Christ died for the sins of the world – past, present, and future – and that by His blood He makes us clean and give us a new heart with desires that align with His purpose for our lives.
So many people walk around in shame, trapped by their past mistakes.
But Jesus didn’t die to keep us trapped in shame – He died to set us free.
And teaching children at a young age to walk boldly in their faith is setting them up to continue sharing their faith all the days of their lives.
