Parents and educators typically look to pediatricians for guidance on the best way to care for young children.
But the latest push for “gender transitions” in children has caused a shockwave – and has forced pediatricians to choose a side in the debate.
And while some doctors have come to denounce “transgender” healthcare for children, the latest comments from a Pittsburgh-area pediatrician will leave you outraged.
Dr. Gerald Montano is the medical director of the Gender and Sexuality Development Program at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and refers to himself as a “LGBTQIA advocate.”
During a shocking interview, he was asked his thoughts about how to handle 5 and 10-year-old children who want to “change genders.”
Montano claims 5-year-olds will typically be placed in counseling first so they can begin to “feel comfortable” with their new gender.
But he admitted that for children who are 10 – it’s a case-by-case basis – acknowledging that some “gender transition” measures could begin for a child before 10.
Faithwire reported:
“For a 10 year old, that really depends on where they are in puberty because for some people — especially those who are assigned female at birth — they might start having signs of puberty,” said the doctor.
“And then there is a discussion on whether or not puberty blockers may be warranted for that individual because they can become really distressed if they’re starting to develop secondary sex characteristics that really distresses them.”
Of course it does!
Allowing a minor child to undergo a “gender transition” is beyond “stressful” – it’s abusive.
Instead of allowing a child’s body to develop naturally, these doctors are obsessed with encouraging a child to “live out the gender of their choice” which could include everything from taking hormone suppressing drugs to even surgery.
There are countless stories of former “transgender” individuals sounding the alarm on the danger of adults allowing children to transition.
Some of these kids have since grown up and now struggle with extreme depression or even suicidal thoughts because their body has been destroyed by “changing genders.”
No pediatrician should ever state whether publicly or privately that allowing a child to “change genders” is okay.
In fact, states should start cracking down and prosecuting any adult who seeks to lead a child astray.
We must continue to intercede for our children in prayer – and pray that God protects their minds (and bodies) for those who wish to harm them.
