When 21-year-old Jessica found out she was pregnant she didn’t think she was fit to be a mother.
The child’s father was struggling with drug addiction, and having no money herself, Jessica was afraid she’d end up homeless with her baby if she went through with the pregnancy.
So she made an appointment to get an abortion, not once – but four times! But wait until you hear the miracle God did in her life.
To start, it was obvious Jessica was scared.
Having come from a broken home herself, she didn’t grow up feeling wanted or loved, which likely caused her to make bad decisions when it came to dating.
And although she considered herself to be “pro-life,” when faced with her own pregnancy, she felt she just couldn’t have this baby.
So she called and scheduled an abortion thinking it would all be over by the end of the day – but nothing prepared her for what happened next.
During her appointment, she had a panic attack and couldn’t go through with it – so she left.
The same thing happened at her second and third appointment.
When she finally made her fourth appointment, Planned Parenthood warned her this would be her last chance, as she was approaching the legal limit of when she was allowed to abort her baby.
She committed to the abortion one final time, but then made a request to God.
Live Action reported:
“So I told God, ‘I’m definitely having this abortion, I can’t have this baby. I don’t have the means to take care of it so I’m just gonna have to forgive myself later and You’re gonna have to forgive me.’” she explained.
“And I told God, ‘If you don’t want me to have this abortion then you have to physically stop me because I’m just gonna numb myself out and do it even though I’m totally against it.’”
Sounds like a pretty bold prayer, right?
Well, God answered her prayer!
As her baby’s father was driving her to get the abortion, they suddenly got a flat tire.
And when he went to get the spare, it wasn’t there.
It was at that moment, Jessica KNEW this was God’s way of intervening.
This time she obeyed, and refused to get the abortion.
And then, the most incredible thing happened.

“And instantly, I was overwhelmed with a complete sense of peace and I never questioned it again. I knew no matter what happened it was gonna be okay. […] My son’s name is Ezekiel which means ‘God strengthens’ and everybody that’s met him says that he’s such an amazing kid,” she said. Ezekiel is now 11 years old.”
Praise God for protecting the life of Ezekiel before he was even born!
So many women who decide to have an abortion only do so because they are scared and feel they have no other option.
And this is why it’s critical we surround our pregnant moms with love and care and let them know they can always choose life!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
